Fleece Coolers – at Iberosattel® in Spanish and Baroque Style
A fleece cooler ensures that your sweaty horse doesn't catch a chill after riding. Evaporation costs warmth. A good fleece cooler absorbs the moisture much faster than it would evaporate from the horse's back, releases it to the outside as quickly as possible, and keeps your horse nice and warm in the process.
Why do most riders prefer fleece as the material for their cooler? Fleece consists of a dense weave of light, ultra-thin synthetic fibres that soak up water like a sponge. Compared to natural materials like cotton, synthetic fleece has the advantage that its fibres barely absorb moisture into the fibre itself, but instead let it glide along the fibre surface. As a result, fleece dries much faster than cotton. There are also many tiny pockets of air between the fibres: this is why a fleece cooler keeps your horse warm and doesn't become heavy and damp while your horse is cooling down, but continues to sit loosely on the horse.
