I was lucky enough to be allowed to test-ride an Ibero Amazona Comfort belonging to a fellow boarder at my stable. The deep, secure seat and the balanced fit on my small, barrel-shaped draft horse impressed me right from the start and made me dream of an Iberosattel® of my own for me and my horse. Through a lot of luck I was able to buy exactly this saddle. I didn't hesitate.
At first I was curious how the Thoma family would handle customers with pre-owned saddles. Straight away: they do look after them! Very well, expertly, and warmly.
At the saddle-fitting appointment with Miriam Thoma, I was amazed at everything she could already tell me about my horse from the very first touch. She readily explained everything she did, why she did it, and how I could work on the slight crookedness left by the saddle's previous owners as well as the fairly noticeable crookedness of my own hips.
But it's not only at the saddle-fitting appointment that service is taken seriously, but also over the phone: after I tore off one of the smart new screws on the saddle, Iberosattel® immediately and very courteously sent me two new screws straight away.
I've now had the saddle for 3 months. It has changed a lot between me and my horse: I feel more confident on the trail and ask more of my horse. On a trail-riding weekend, both my horse and I felt very comfortable in the saddle; even after the third day with 4 hours of riding, his back was still in great shape. I also no longer want to miss the stable yet still free feeling of the saddle when riding academic dressage.
CONCLUSION: I'm never giving up this high-quality saddle, combined with the helpful and warm Iberosattel® team, again!
