Which Saddle for Working Equitation?

The Working Equitation rulebook makes only one requirement regarding the saddle: treeless saddles are not permitted. In principle, you can therefore compete with pretty much any saddle.

But are there saddles that are particularly well suited to working riding? Iberosattel® offers four saddles that are practically made for Working Equitation:

The large, soft Vaquero knee roll, which flows into the front panel, offers extra grip.
The short, wide Comfort Compact panels allow us to fit the saddle to almost any horse.
It is particularly well suited to square-built horses, Lusitanos or ponies.

The Doma Classica is a combination of the Escuela school saddle and the popular Alpha Vaquero saddle.
Its large, soft knee roll makes it super suitable for Working Equitation.

The rear panel, shaped from the seat, gently encloses the rider and provides a secure feeling in the saddle.
Dressage riding is no problem either. You sit deep and can transmit the aids directly.

The Doma Classica comes as standard with the short Comfort Compact panel.

The leisure saddle Ibero Amazona Comfort is a saddle specially designed for dressage riders who spend a lot of time out on the trail and/or ride Working Equitation. With this saddle you can really have both: you enjoy the advantage of being securely framed by the front and rear panels – but the rear cantle can be removed, so you can compete FN-compliant at dressage tournaments.

The deep dressage seat, the continuous saddle flap and thus the closeness to the horse promote correct application of the aids in the dressage arena just as much as on the trail or during cattle work.
