Our Way to the Dream Saddle
Dear Iberosattel® team, dear Iberosattel® fans, dear interested readers ... I am happy to tell you about our way to the "dream saddle".
We, that is my 17-year-old purebred Spanish Arabian mare and I.
I trained my mare myself under a western saddle over 15 years ago, when she was 4 years old. After some time, however, I felt the need for better freedom of movement, so I decided to buy a second saddle: a dressage saddle for work in the arena. For 6 years I then saddled my mare differently depending on the need: in the western saddle for trail rides, since it had the wider bearing surface to protect my horse's back even on longer rides, and in the dressage saddle for work in the arena with a deep seat and sufficient legroom.

At the Pferd International 2012, I became aware of 'Iberosattel' and was thrilled. I soon arranged a 'fitting appointment', which I was looking forward to. Right on schedule, the "Iberosattel® transporter" drove into the yard, with plenty of great saddles to test on board. After the trial ride and very competent advice, it was decided: it would be a Dressage Andaluz, for me the perfect solution to combine both advantages of my existing saddles in one saddle!
After measuring the horse and choosing the leather type and colour, the saddle was ordered. In mid-March, the time had come: the Dressage Andaluz arrived. Since then I have been sitting in this saddle 4-5 times a week and remain convinced to this day, it was absolutely the right decision!!
