"My PRE Six Pack is six years old. He has been mine since March. He had only been lightly backed and unfortunately had also made the acquaintance of the Sereta bit. He was ridden in extreme hyperflexion. I tried to bring him into a forward-downward stretch, which I also managed to achieve after some time. My goal is to work towards classical dressage with him.
Although I thought my old saddle fitted him well (3 saddlers in seven months), I was gravely mistaken. I noticed it in October at a dressage clinic. His entire back musculature had shrunk enormously. I was close to tears. The poor animal. A physiotherapist for horses was accompanying the clinic on site. She confirmed to me that it was the saddle.
