"Our saddle story is actually not very spectacular, and yet it took quite some time until we were finally able to call our dream saddle our own. My Feistritzer, who has stood in my yard on natural stone paving (German) since he was three years old, has a fairly round build and very little to no withers at all. A few years had already gone by when I happened to come across the company Iberosattel® online during various saddle research. The bearing surface as well as the appealing design captivated me immediately, so I really wanted to gather more information at Equitana 2013.
The 1000 km drive is quickly covered, and full of curiosity we look forward to visiting Equitana. Our first contact with the Iberosattel® team is friendly right away, and the family atmosphere is noticeable even at the trade fair stand. Of course, I have to thoroughly test-sit all the sample models, and my initial enthusiasm grows even further. Inwardly, I am already choosing my dream model, and the beautifully designed catalogue becomes a faithful companion for various saddle fantasies. Since the range on offer at such a large fair is very extensive, it is easy to make comparisons, but for me one thing is clear: it has to be an Iberosattel®!
Back home, another long dry spell begins, marked by strokes of fate within the family, but I save every cent so that I can afford the best possible saddle for my horse and myself. Delayed is not cancelled, and so this January it finally happens: the appointment with the saddler is set. Unfortunately, in southern Austria it is not at all easy to find a representative of the Ibero company. The saddler brought several sample models to choose from, and my actual (probably visually motivated) favourite then had to give way to the Amazona Dressage Comfort, which convinced both me and my horse immediately.
With complete ease, he immediately moves loosely and full of joy under the new saddle, and since this sample saddle had never before been on a horse, we didn't give it back and kept it right away. A very special joy, as I had already braced myself for a delivery time of a few months. Of course, the right accessories belong with the saddle, so I immediately ordered the stirrups and saddle pad from the Iberosattel® company.
Since then, our Amazona Dressage Comfort has been our companion in all situations in life: at work in the arena, on long trail rides across country, at clinics... The deep seat and the not-too-large knee blocks give me a more secure seating feeling that I would not want to miss. The monoflap lets me really feel my horse in classical dressage, and so communication with fine aids becomes very playful. The quality of the saddle leaves nothing to be desired, the leather is supple, the panels pleasantly soft, nothing presses anywhere, and so even many hours in the saddle are an absolute delight.
I would still be delighted to have an Ibero representative in Styria, as I am unfortunately still searching for a qualified saddler to check my saddle twice a year. Besides, I believe demand will keep on growing steadily; my horse and I are constantly advertising for it, after all!"
